"The Eater Awards recognize excellence in the restaurant industry over the past year in cities nationwide. These are the places and people that we can’t stop talking about, visiting, and recommending. San Diego restaurants and bars continued to endure and thrive thanks to the passion and dedication of the local industry. There just aren’t enough awards to go around to acknowledge the work of all the unsung heroes who help uplift and feed this city. Still, we celebrate these establishments that helped define what great dining and drinking look like in 2024, from a very special Japanese spot to a mom-and-pop shop for Lao cuisine and a bar that’s refreshingly democratic.
